THE NEED FOR TRAINING - STRESS!

Stress can go either recognized or unrecognized! Either way, the harm it creates is worth the attention you need to give yourself. While consciously or unconsciously, you learn ways in which you may eliminate stress from your life regularly. Yet it is estimated that at any one time, 40% to 50% of all adult workers are suffering from the adverse and often overwhelming effects of stress. (Figures from; The Canadian Heart and stroke foundation, 2000 & The American psychological association,1997)

In one particular recent study by northwestern national life insurance, 70% of workers said that job stress makes them less productive as a result of frequent health problems. Stress does take away the ability of your body to function in a manner that restores cell production and creates a continuous chemical balance. Hence it eats away at the productivity of our work organizations. It is often stress from our routine at work that we cannot seem to reduce or remove that damages our mind and body, thereby, our ability at home to function with joyful abundance. 

WHAT STEPS CAN YOU TAKE TO IMPROVE YOUR PRODUCTIVITY?

Introduce the coach to a program that benefits them in meaningful ways. The goal of these stress release workshops is to improve wellness and decrease absenteeism, all of which can result in increased productivity for your organization and better health for each coach, that further guarantees a more instead mindset of the athlete to win.

CUSTOMIZED SERVICES: Every foundation, organizational, and supporting staff to keep an athlete facilitated has its strengths and operates within its unique limitations. While the role of Human Resource and Occupational Health staff can include helping employees deal with stress, their training in this can be limited. Thus specialized relaxation techniques that include self-hypnosis and auto-suggestion are tailored to teach practical stress management. 

It is recommended that seminars and workshops be customized to the unique needs of your organization in the following ways:

1.  I will come to your office to discuss the stress management needs of your organization/coaches/support staff - to plan the most effective program for you.

2.    A paper exercise is created for all employees to gauge exact requirements and better understand the mindset. This anonymous questionnaire generally covers the areas of stress, and the participant may write about his unique stress symptom and his belief of its source. The results of these questionnaires, which are kept confidential, are tabulated by our office and used to tailor the workshop to the exact needs of the participants.

3.   Results are summarized, and a proposal is created to suit the time and day of the organization and training thereof.

4.   Training Sessions are generally in groups servicing ten participants at one time and include individual session time for each person. These sessions are confidential one-on-one evaluations of stress problems, with personally-tailored strategies and individual coaching sessions for dealing with them.

TAPES

Sometimes it is essential to complement the work done in groups with individual sessions on tape. These are personalized sessions with a voice on video, which may be replayed numerous times by the client to maximize benefits.

PERIODIC PUBLICATIONS ON HEALTH BENEFITS AND THE AVAILABILITY OF NEWER TECHNIQUES

An organization needs to find itself together in varying ways. At the same time, as it represents a consolidated cohesive unit, it needs to respect the differences between people and honor everyone's points of view.

 

A fortnightly journal that brings forth various tools utilized by different employees plus details of their experiences is a definite reminder of the practical work.

MORAL RESPONSIBILITY

An organization must provide a counselor to an employee whose services they have terminated so he can return to his daily routine marked with positive self-respect. This can be handled by setting up individual sessions with the therapist.
