Individual Training
As a mental coach, I have had the experience of guiding many top sportspeople to communicate better with themselves and use uniquely created tools to meet their individual needs. Over the past twenty years, I have taken top Indian athletes through sessions with mind coaching so they may receive their quota places for securing their competitive spaces at the International level and succeed. Dedicated Mental Coaching will ensure that the commitment to excellence remains at the forefront of all training. Each athlete pursues testing their skill to meet the best in their field of Sport by anchoring techniques and thereby experiencing monumental internal shifts. When this occurs, the athlete realizes that he is better prepared, the goal is more likely guaranteed, and bringing a medal home is just a matter of awaiting delivery.
A literal translation of the Olympic motto is 'Faster - Higher – Stronger.' It endeavors to trigger the athlete to get past his limitation to perform better. With mind coaching, 'Faster' means the athlete has trained the subconscious to respond without restriction. 'Higher' refers to creating new neural patterns, and 'Stronger' reflects the ability to remain persistent to sustain mental strength.
I train athletes to reflect within to become insightful about their weaknesses and strength. Accessing this information, making it useful, and marrying it to the technical skill requires an expertise that I believe is ingrained in me, having worked with a plethora of ills over 24 years as a licensed practitioner and therapist, including the very dark grains of psychosomatic illness, disease, trauma, and other such lesser valued adaptations of human consciousness. Methods include but are not limited to Hypnotherapy, Hypnosis, Sports Hypnosis, NLP, Suggestibility, Observation sciences, Emotional tapping techniques, and Regression work related to Psychotherapy, making up the basic foundation of the method utilized.
The struggle for an athlete will continue despite their best effort. While we appreciate the risks involved in shifting mindsets and moving expectations of an athlete - the pressure does escalate as Competitions come closer. This manifests all vulnerable and weakened memories to rise in the athlete's awareness and daily mindset. This, in turn, interferes with a fully developed technique. At the same time, more failures than successes are met along their journey, and podium positions are not found easily; diminishing confidence and motivational levels must not deepen self-doubt, reduce expectation or pave the way for a dwindling spirit of enthusiasm.
To meet the distance required to be covered, each athlete needs to individually address the lack within themselves - face their inner demons - move on equipped with a well-initiated tool kit - with a host of tools and techniques that brings into play each one's Neuro-linguistic pattern so they may move forward with complete awareness. The mind will use its strength to create many files that must be dismissed, and many shifted daily. The athlete needs to know his mind so well that he can pick and choose mind technique and move to meet his need. The understanding and application of mental tools largely remain absent within the mindset of most athletes. We must remember an athlete also brings his baggage of emotions from his personal life and has no skill to deal with or dismiss the emotional discharge. We need effective communication with each athlete to understand and help him highlight his talent and technique - without boring him with psychology algorithms yet drawing on its trust principles.
While being transpersonal, my work distinctly addresses the subconscious mind and the plethora of techniques employed to retrain the brain to meet its growing needs. The available mental toolkit caters to meeting the variable habits and patterns an athlete has subconsciously ingrained and anchored. He is no longer in control, for they are now deeply embedded. The result is also applied to benefit varying aspects of an athlete's personality in a competitive scenario.
